If this is an inflatable item it will safely inflate to "about" double girth and length will change slightly. These inflatables tend to expand more in the largest area and not at the ends. Since they are like a balloon they will conform to whatever space it has been inserted into, and how it appears inflated in your hand will not represent how it looks when in use.
